After three games on the road, Gila Ridge is heading back home. They will take on the Kofa Kings at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
On Friday, things could have been worse for Gila Ridge, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 62-46 loss to the Wolverines.
Meanwhile, Kofa strolled past the Rams with points to spare on Thursday, taking the game 70-54. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Kofa.
Kofa relied on the efforts of Calvin Barber, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds, and Elijah Braveheart, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 14 rebounds. Braveheart is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last 14 games he's played. Another player making a difference was Emmanuel Ramirez, who scored 12 points.
Gila Ridge's loss dropped their record down to 7-16. As for Kofa, their victory bumped their record up to 10-12.
Gila Ridge was able to grind out a solid win over the Kings in their previous matchup back in January of 2023, winning 56-45. Does Gila Ridge have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Kings turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
