Rangely is 10-0 against Caprock Academy since February of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Rangely Panthers will look to defend their home court against the Caprock Academy Eagles at 5:30 p.m. Rangely will be looking to keep their nine-game home win streak (dating back to last season) alive.
In what's become a running theme this season, Rangely gave their fans yet another huge victory on Thursday. They took their contest at home with ease, bagging a 56-26 victory over Plateau Valley. Rangely's win was all the more impressive since Plateau Valley was averaging only 24.75 points allowed on the season.
Rangely's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ryann Mergelman, who scored nine points along with nine steals. Another player making a difference was Annika Cantrell, who scored seven points along with eight steals.
Meanwhile, Caprock Academy scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They blew past Vail Christian 53-13 on the road. That looming 53-13 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Caprock Academy yet this season.
Rangely's victory bumped their record up to 9-1. As for Caprock Academy, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-3.
Everything went Rangely's way against Caprock Academy in their previous meeting back in February of 2023 as Rangely made off with a 52-30 win. Does Rangely have another victory up their sleeve, or will Caprock Academy turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
