Basketball Recap: Palmer Extends Winning Streak to Three

Palmer extended their winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Jalean Tweedy. The Palmer Dragons came out on top against the Water Valley Blue Devils by a score of 63-56 on Tuesday thanks in part to Tweedy, who posted 30 points and eight boards. That makes it five consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Palmer's points.

Cornelius Emerson was another key player, dropping a double-double on 17 points and 12 rebounds. He is on a roll when it comes to boards, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last 12 games he's played.

Palmer is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.5 points per game. As for Water Valley, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-14 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Palmer will face off against Rosa Fort at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Palmer has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 209 points over their last three matches. As for Water Valley, they will square off against Strayhorn at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
