River Bluff kicked off their season on the road on Friday and hit a couple of potholes. They took a 31-18 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rock Hill Bearcats. The Gators were down 31-3 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
Despite the loss, River Bluff still got an impressive performance from Darius Carter, who picked up 130 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns.
Marvin Randolph had an outrageously good game for Rock Hill as he rushed for 183 yards on only ten carries. Randolph really tore up the turf during one magnificent 92-yard run. Kamron Wilson did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 106 receiving yards.
Looking ahead, River Bluff will venture away from home to take on Brookland-Cayce at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Rock Hill, they will head out to square off against South Pointe at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
