After two games on the road, Jena is heading back home. They will take on the Buckeye Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Even though Jena has not done well against Marksville recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Jena pulled ahead with a 43-42 photo finish over Marksville.
Meanwhile, Buckeye had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They managed a 36-32 win over Marksville on Friday. The win was just what Buckeye needed coming off of a 61-28 loss in their prior match.
Jena's win bumped their record up to 11-12. As for Buckeye, their win ended a six-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-22.
Jena came out on top in a nail-biter against Buckeye in their previous matchup back in January, sneaking past 45-42. Does Jena have another victory up their sleeve, or will Buckeye turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
