It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Bishop Ireton had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They came out on top against the Our Lady of Good Counsel Falcons by a score of 58-49. The win was familiar territory for the Cardinals, who have now won three contests in a row.

Bishop Ireton's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-12. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.3 points over those games. As for Our Lady of Good Counsel, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-17.

Coming up, a feisty cat fight will be fought as the Cardinals challenge the Panthers at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Paul VI will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something Bishop Ireton surely won't give up without a fight. Our Lady of Good Counsel does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
