Softball Recap: Lake Gibson Wins Going Away Against Kathleen

Lake Gibson got themselves on the board against Kathleen on Monday, but Kathleen never followed suit. They blew past the Red Devils 18-0. Considering the Braves have won four matches by more than 12 runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Brayden Seymour was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs and one triple. The team also got some help courtesy of Kam Applewhite, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-1.

The win got Lake Gibson back to even at 5-5. As for Kathleen, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 4-3.

Looking ahead, Lake Gibson will host Davenport at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lake Gibson's pitchers better be ready for this one: Davenport has averaged an impressive 7 runs per game this season. As for Kathleen, they will head out to square off against Santa Fe Catholic at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Santa Fe Catholic's pitching crew has only allowed 3.3 runs per game this season, so Kathleen's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
