The Kenwood Broncos fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back wins it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They were the clear victor by a 26-6 margin over Phillips. The result was nothing new for Kenwood, who have now won five matchups by 20 points or more so far this season.
Kenwood can attribute much of their success to NaCari McFarland, who threw for 236 yards and three touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes. Kenwood also got help from Patrick Clacks III who showed off his sure hands for 92 receiving yards.
Kenwood's victory bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Phillips, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 5-4.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Kenwood will square off against Downers Grove North at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
