Carlisle is 0-5 against McCrory since November of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Carlisle Bison will be playing in front of their home fans against the McCrory Jaguars at 7:00 p.m. Carlisle is coming into the contest hot, having won their last eight games.
Even though Carlisle has not done well against Hazen recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Carlisle secured a 20-14 W over Hazen.
Carlisle can attribute much of their success to Holden Jones, who rushed for 20 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 144 yards and a touchdown on only ten passes.
Meanwhile, McCrory came up short against Des Arc on Thursday and fell 38-30.
Carlisle's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-1. As for McCrory, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-5.
Carlisle suffered a grim 40-14 defeat to McCrory in their previous meeting back in October of 2021. Can Carlisle avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
