The Wildorado Mustangs lost against the Claude Mustangs back in October of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Wildorado was beaten by Claude 70-24. Wildorado has struggled against Claude recently, as their matchup on Friday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Several Mustangs players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Aden Woodard, who rushed for 98 yards and a touchdown on only 11 carries. Woodard was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 55 yards. Sterling Washington was in the mix too, providing Wildorado with two touchdowns.
Wildorado's loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 2-6. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 11.0 points per game. As for Claude, their win ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-5.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wildorado will take on Happy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Happy will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak. As for Claude, they will stay at home for another week and welcome Nazareth at 7:00 p.m. on October 27th. Nazareth is coming into the game on a five-game losing streak.
