The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Dalton Voils, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Corey Flinchum, who scored 14 points along with seven rebounds.
Betsy Layne's win bumped their record up to 11-9. As for Wolfe County, their loss dropped their record down to 9-9.
Betsy Layne barely slipped by the Wolves in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, winning 56-55. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Flinchum, who scored 22 points along with eight rebounds.
