The Ida Crown Jewish Academy Aces's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their third straight defeat. They took a hard 64-47 fall against Lake View.
Lake View's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Frank Fregoso led the charge by scoring eight points along with nine steals and seven assists. Fregoso is crushing the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Daniel Loza, who scored 19 points.
Ida Crown Jewish Academy's loss dropped their record down to 11-6. As for Lake View, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 18-6 record this season.
Ida Crown Jewish Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Fasman Yeshiva at 9:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Lake View, they will head out on the road to square off against Loyola Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
