Despite the loss, Oakwood Academy had strong showings from Will Lewis, who scored 15 points along with nine rebounds, and Jaiden Morton, who scored 19 points along with four steals. Those 19 points set a new season-high mark for him. Jadon Williams was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds.
Boaz is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 6-9 record this season. As for Oakwood Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-8.
Boaz will finish 2023 at home by hosting Decatur Heritage Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Oakwood Academy won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against American Christian Academy at 1:30 p.m. on December 28th. American Christian Academy is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road.
