The Langley Saxons entered their tilt with the McLean Highlanders with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Langley strolled past McLean with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 42-26. Given Langley's advantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 16th, while McLean is ranked 107th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Langley to victory, but perhaps none more so than Peyton Daley, who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Daley has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Vicky Zawisza, who scored eight points along with two steals.
Langley's win bumped their record up to 13-1. As for McLean, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-6.
Langley will head out on the road to square off against Washington-Liberty at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for McLean, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Patriot at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
