It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the East Allegheny Wild Cats can now relate to. They took a serious blow against Belle Vernon on Friday, falling 49-8. East Allegheny's loss signaled the end of their eight-game winning streak.
Quinton Martin was his usual excellent self, rushing for 149 yards and a touchdown on only 12 carries, while also catching a touchdown. Another player making a difference was Jake Gedekoh, who rushed for 119 yards and a touchdown on only seven carries.
East Allegheny's defeat dropped their record down to 9-3. As for Belle Vernon, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 10-1.
East Allegheny does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Belle Vernon also has no future games currently scheduled.
