If the Heidelberg Oilers were feeling good off their 62-34 takedown of the Mize Bulldogs last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Heidelberg took a 59-54 hit to the loss column at the hands of Richton. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Heidelberg in their matchups with Richton: they've now lost three in a row.
It was another big night for Dakota Amos, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 12 rebounds for Richton. Amos hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Brandon Brown, who scored 12 points along with four steals.
Heidelberg has traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last 12 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-17 record this season. As for Richton, the victory was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 21-7.
Heidelberg didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 67-62 victory vs. Collins on the 9th. Richton has also already played their next matchup, a 52-28 victory against North Forrest on the 9th.
