While Archbishop Ryan's win against Academy at Palumbo wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Raiders and Ragdolls won by a set and slipped past the Griffin 3-2. The Raiders and Ragdolls haven't had any issues with the Griffin recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Archbishop Ryan now has a winning record of 5-4-1. As for Academy at Palumbo, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 7-1.

Coincidentally, Archbishop Ryan and Academy at Palumbo will both be playing George Washington the next time they take the court. The Griffin will head out to face the Eagles at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Raiders and Ragdolls will host them at 5:00 p.m. on October 1.
