It was a good run, but Timnath unfortunately witnessed the end of their ten-game winning streak on Tuesday. They came up short against the Roosevelt Roughriders, falling 63-42. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Cubs have suffered since January 10, 2024.

Timnath's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Gretchen Deines, who posted nine points. Another player making a difference was Olivia Zadeh, who scored nine points.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Roosevelt to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kyla Hollier, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 11 boards. That makes it four consecutive games in which Hollier has scored at least a third of Roosevelt's points. Payton Terry was another key player, putting up eight points in addition to seven assists and three steals.

Timnath's loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 10-2. As for Roosevelt, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-3.

Timnath didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 60-16 win against Wellington on the 24th. Roosevelt has also already played their next contest, a 67-41 victory against Thompson Valley on the 23rd.
