The Heritage Patriots will head out on the road to challenge the Paloma Valley Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Even though San Jacinto scored an imposing 66 points on Monday, Heritage still came out on top. Heritage took down San Jacinto 80-66. The victory was nothing new for Heritage as they're now sitting on three straight.
Heritage got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Adrian Viray out in front who scored 25 points along with five assists and two steals. Viray continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Donovan Larry, who scored 18 points along with four steals.
Meanwhile, even though Vista del Lago scored an imposing 62 points on Friday, Paloma Valley still came out on top. Paloma Valley skirted past Vista del Lago 65-62. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win Paloma Valley has posted yet this season.
Heritage has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a massive bump to their 8-12 record this season. As for Paloma Valley, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-10.
Heritage came out on top in a nail-biter against Paloma Valley in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, sneaking past 62-59. The rematch might be a little tougher for Heritage since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
