Volleyball Recap: Cedar's Win Ends Four-Game Losing Streak at Home

Cedar won the last time they faced Hurricane, and Nathan Guzman did his part to make sure it happened again. The Reds came out on top against the Tigers by a score of 3-1 on Tuesday thanks in part to Guzman, who had 20 digs and two aces. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 11.6 digs per game.

Cedar got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 25-17, 34-32, 25-22.

Cedar's win ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 7-12. As for Hurricane, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season.

Cedar didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Crimson Cliffs on the 16th. As for Hurricane, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Snow Canyon on the 17th.
