Greencastle-Antrim is a perfect 10-0 against James Buchanan since May of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Blue Devils will be playing in front of their home fans against the Rockets at 4:15 p.m. Greencastle-Antrim is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.7 runs per game this season.
Greencastle-Antrim barely beat Shippensburg the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Blue Devils blew past the Greyhounds 15-2 on Thursday. Winning may never get old, but the Blue Devils sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.
Kiersten Swain spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on three hits and racked up 17 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than ten strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Greencastle-Antrim kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in three consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for James Buchanan's offense. They lost 10-0 to Northern York on Thursday. The Rockets haven't had much luck with the Polar Bears recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.
Greencastle-Antrim's win bumped their record up to 12-1. As for James Buchanan, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-5.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Monday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Greencastle-Antrim has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 6.6 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like James Buchanan struggles in that department as they've been averaging 6.7 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Everything went Greencastle-Antrim's way against James Buchanan in their previous matchup back in March, as Greencastle-Antrim made off with an 18-3 victory. Will the Blue Devils repeat their success, or do the Rockets have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
