The St. Paul Lutheran Giants can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Monday. They snuck past Bourbon with a 41-36 victory. The win was just what St. Paul Lutheran needed coming off of a 43-20 defeat in their prior match.
It was another big night for Mia Sherrill, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 18 rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of St. Paul Lutheran's points. Julie Lunsford was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with five rebounds and five steals.
St. Paul Lutheran's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-5. As for Bourbon, they now have a losing record at 5-6.
St. Paul Lutheran is on the road again on December 27th and play against Viburnum at 1:00 p.m. on December 27th. Bourbon will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Valley at 5:30 p.m. on January 8, 2024.
