Softball Recap: Four Straight Road Wins for Crismon

The Crismon Rattlers made easy work of the ALA - Gilbert North Eagles on Tuesday and carried off a 20-3 victory. Considering the Rattlers have won 13 contests by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Skylar DaCosta was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. Alee Grace Trunell was another key player, scoring three runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

DaCosta wasn't the only one making solid contact: Crismon kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in seven consecutive games.

Crismon's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 17-7. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.5 runs on average over those games. As for ALA - Gilbert North, they are on a 29-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-13.

Crismon will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Eagles: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday.
