The Lebanon Pioneers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their eighth straight loss. They were outmatched by Honaker on the road and fell 55-9. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Lebanon in their matchups with Honaker: they've now lost nine in a row.
Honaker's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Tailor Nolley led the charge by scoring 12 points along with eight rebounds and six steals. Nolley has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times she's played. Another player making a difference was Kathryn Jessee, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds and four steals.
Lebanon's defeat was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Honaker, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 11-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lebanon will take on Marion at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Marion and Lebanon are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads. As for Honaker, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Holston at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
