Jaslyn Sigaran posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Monday. As a matter of fact, she turned in her biggest game of the season, striking out 16 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits (and not a single walk). She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 13 consecutive appearances.

Looking ahead, Sigaran and Bishop Conaty-Loretto will challenge Cantwell-Sacred Heart of Mary at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The Wildcats had to take a loss when they last met the Cardinals, but Sigaran had little to do with the loss: she struck out six batters over 4.2 innings while giving up just two earned (and four unearned) runs off seven hits (and only one walk).
