Minarets is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They never let Legacy Christian Academy get on the board and left with a 10-0 win. That's two games straight that the Mustangs have won by exactly ten runs.

The team relied heavily on Gavin Mitchell, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. Minarets is undefeated when Mitchell posts two or more stolen bases, but 8-18 otherwise. Torin Wolf was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Minarets always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .613. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, it may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Torres ultimately got the result they hoped for on Wednesday. They came out on top against Roosevelt by a score of 9-5. Surprisingly, this marked the Toros' fifth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.
Amani Sua was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, he posted two strikeouts, the most he's had since back in February. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.
In other batting news, Austin Meza was incredible, getting on base in all five of his plate appearances with three runs. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Trey Garcia, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.
Minarets' victory bumped their record up to 12-18. As for Torres, their win bumped their record up to 11-17.
Minarets was able to grind out a solid victory over Torres when the teams last played back in February, winning 7-2. Will the Mustangs repeat their success, or do the Toros have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
