After two games on the road, Cascade is heading back home. They will take on the Stayton Eagles at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Cascade knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past ten matches -- so hopefully Stayton likes a good challenge.
In what's become a running theme this season, Cascade gave their fans yet another huge win on Saturday. They blew past Astoria 71-46. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Cascade has posted yet this season.
Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Stayton's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They were the victim of a rough 57-36 loss at the hands of North Marion. While losing is never fun, Stayton can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oregon basketball rankings (they are ranked 123rd, while North Marion is ranked 29th).
Stayton's loss came about despite a quality game from Kaden Holm, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds. Ean Dillingham was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with seven rebounds.
Cascade pushed their record up to 8-2 with that win, which was their third straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.7 points per game. As for Stayton, their loss dropped their record down to 7-6.
Cascade strolled past Stayton when the teams last played back in February of 2023 by a score of 66-52. Does Cascade have another victory up their sleeve, or will Stayton turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
