It was a good run, but Cathedral unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Friday. They had to suffer through a 58-22 loss at the hands of the Bishop Fenwick Crusaders. The contest marked the Panthers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

When it comes to explaining why Cathedral lost, don't look at DJ Desir. Despite the final result, he rushed for 106 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 12 carries. The bulk of those rushing yards came from one huge play: a run that gained an incredible 66 yards.

Cathedral's loss dropped their record down to 5-2. As for Bishop Fenwick, they picked up their first home win, bumping their record up to 3-4.

Looking ahead, Cathedral will host Archbishop Williams at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bishops' defense has only allowed 13.4 points per game this season, so the Panthers' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Bishop Fenwick, they are taking a road trip to take on Arlington Catholic at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Cougars will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more points each matchup than the last.
