Softball Recap: Lake Forest Academy Comes Up Short

Lake Forest Academy extended their losing streak to five on Wednesday, dropping their season record down to 0-5 in the process. They came up short against the Harvest Christian Academy Lions, falling 31-17. On the bright side, the 17- run performance marked the Caxys' highest-scoring contest to date.

As for Harvest Christian Academy, their win bumped their record up to 9-11. The result was nothing new for the Lions, who have now won eight games by ten runs or more so far this season.

For Harvest Christian Academy's part, Alayna Booras was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run and four RBI. That's the most RBI Booras has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Leslie Uriostegui, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with five runs and one stolen base.

Coming up, Lake Forest Academy will look to defend their home field on Monday against Regina Dominican at 4:30 p.m. As for Harvest Christian Academy, they will venture away from home to face off against Hiawatha at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
