The Washington Tigers won against the Buchtel Griffins  on Wednesday with 61  points and they decided to stick to that  point total again  on Saturday. Washington claimed a resounding  61-28 victory over Buchtel at home. Given Washington's advantage  in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings  (they are ranked 170th, while Buchtel is ranked 621st), the result  wasn't entirely unexpected.
 Washington was led to victory by  Hannah Nicola and  Makiya Edwards.  Nicola  scored 17 points along with three  steals, while  Edwards  dropped  a double-double on 18 points and 12  rebounds. Edwards is on a roll when it comes to  steals, as she's  now  grabbed two or more in the last three games she's  played. The team also got some help courtesy of  La Nia Moore, who  scored six points along with ten  rebounds.
 Washington is  on a roll lately: they've  won five of their last six matchups,  which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. As for Buchtel, they bumped their record down to 3-6 with that  defeat, which was their fourth straight  on the road.
 Washington and Hilliard Davidson will round out the year against one another at 4:00  p.m.  on Thursday at. Buchtel will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Kenston at 7:30  p.m.  on January 3, 2024.
