The Hamilton Broncs won the last time they faced the Polson Pirates, and things went their way on Friday too. Hamilton blew past Polson 33-13. The result was nothing new for Hamilton, who have now won five matches by 20 points or more so far this season.
Hamilton can attribute much of their success to Lucas Lant, who rushed for 68 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 150 yards and two touchdowns. Lant is on a roll when it comes to solo tackles, as he's now made six or more in the last four games he's played. Clayton Beall also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
Despite the loss, Polson still got an impressive performance from Brock Henriksen, who rushed for nine yards and a touchdown, and also picked up 74 receiving yards.
Hamilton's victory bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Polson, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-4.
Hamilton will look to defend their home field on Friday against Bigfork at 7:00 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Montana (Bigfork is ranked 20th, while Hamilton is ranked ninth). Polson does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
