The Waldron Mohawks will face off against the Knightstown Panthers at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Knightstown took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Waldron, who comes in off a win.
Waldron barely beat Edinburgh the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Mohawks were the clear victors by a 14-1 margin over the Lancers on Thursday. The Mohawks have beaten the Lancers the last six times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Lancers has come to flipping the script.

Charlie Fischer made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 13 over five innings pitched. Those 13 strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Waldron let Jackson Kuhn and Troy Atwood run wild. Kuhn went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI, while Atwood got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most runs Kuhn has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Hunter Dodson, who got on base in two of his four plate appearances with two RBI and one run.
Waldron always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .564. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Meanwhile, Knightstown has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.79 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Friday. They came up short against Wapahani, falling 14-4. The Panthers haven't had much luck with the Raiders recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.
Waldron pushed their record up to 8-12 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.7 runs over those games. As for Knightstown, their loss dropped their record down to 20-4.
Waldron suffered a grim 27-1 defeat to Knightstown when the teams last played back in May of 2023. Can the Mohawks avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
