Basketball Recap: Opp Skates Past Florala with Ease

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Opp). They breezed by the Florala Wildcats to the tune of 57-26 on Monday. The Bobcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matches by 31 points or more this season.

Taylor Adams was nothing short of spectacular: she went 9 of 13 en route to 24 points and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Dionna Stoudemire, who went 6 of 10 on her way to 13 points and seven rebounds.

Opp was working as a unit and finished the game with 17 assists. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their assist total in four consecutive contests.

Opp is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 24.3 points per game. As for Florala, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-6.

Opp will head out to face off against Zion Chapel at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Florala, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against New Brockton at 6:00 p.m.
