The Dighton Hornets will head out on the road to face off against the Kinsley Coyotes at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Dighton's favor is that they have now posted big point totals in their last four games.
Dighton pushed their score all the way to 64 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They had to suffer through a rough 100-64 loss at the hands of Minneola. Dighton was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-22.
Dighton's loss came about despite a quality game from Daniel Cramer, who rushed for 171 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 180 yards and four touchdowns. Ryland Price also deserves a shout-out for his three touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Kinsley stacked a sixth blowout onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They took their contest on the road with ease, bagging a 48-16 win over Stafford. Given Kinsley's advantage in MaxPreps' Kansas football rankings (they are ranked 17th, while Stafford is ranked 88th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Minneola's win bumped their season record to 8-0 while Dighton's defeat dropped theirs to 4-4.
