Syracuse has gone 8-2 against Davis recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Titans will venture away from home to challenge the Darts at 5:00 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
On Tuesday, Syracuse made easy work of Farmington and carried off a 3-0 win.
One reason for the win was Syracuse's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-20, 25-8.
Syracuse can attribute much of their success to Presley Worthington, who had 14 digs and two assists.
Syracuse was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 12 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in three consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Davis, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They came out on top against Farmington by a score of 3-1 on Thursday.
Davis had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 18-25, 25-19, 25-12, 25-21.
Syracuse better keep an eye on Zoey Walsh. She was instrumental in Davis' win, getting 12 digs. Pola Wong also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.
Syracuse has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season. As for Davis, their victory was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 6-11.
Everything went Syracuse's way against Davis in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as Syracuse made off with a 3-0 win. Will the Titans repeat their success, or do the Darts have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
