The Boone Braves will head out to challenge the Jupiter Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Boone is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.1 runs per game this season.
Boone is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against St. Cloud, sneaking past 4-2. The win continues a trend for the Braves in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now won three in a row.
Charltotte Tellez spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on six hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one earned run any time she's pitched this season.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Aracelys Gonzalez, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one stolen base. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024. Saliah Collazo also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Jupiter, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Wednesday. They had just enough and edged out Cypress Creek 4-3.
Jupiter also let their pitcher toss all seven innings and she was also dialed-in: Sasha Seidel gave up three runs (all of which were unearned) on two hits and racked up 16 Ks.
At the plate, Jupiter saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sam Basen, who went 1-for-3 with one run.
Jupiter's victory was their 11th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-5. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.5 runs over those games. As for Boone, their record is now 15-10.
Both Boone and Jupiter just can't seem to miss. The Braves have been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.3 hits per game. However, it's not like Jupiter struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 3.5 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Boone might still be hurting after the 11-0 loss they got from Jupiter in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Can the Braves avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
