Lutheran-Northeast is 0-3 against Pierce since January of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. Lutheran-Northeast fought the good fight in their overtime match against Homer on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell 54-47 to the Knights.
Defeat or not, Lutheran-Northeast got some senior leadership from Kealy Ranslem who scored 13 points and Delaney Rose-hancock who scored 11 points. Those 13 points set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Kendra Petersen, who scored seven points.
Meanwhile, it was a hard-fought matchup, but Pierce had to settle for a 45-42 loss against O'Neill on Tuesday.
Lutheran-Northeast's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Pierce, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.
Lutheran-Northeast was dealt a bruising 61-31 loss at the hands of Pierce when the teams last played back in December of 2022. Thankfully for Lutheran-Northeast, Morgan Moeller (who scored 20 points) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
