The Knightdale Knights will venture away from home to take on the Wakefield Wolverines at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Knightdale is coming into the match hot, having won their last six games.
Knightdale is headed into the contest having just posted their closest win since November 30, 2024 on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Heritage 39-36. The 39-point effort marked the Knights' lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Knightdale had a senior duo take command as Isaiah Green posted 14 points and seven boards and Stephen Murray scored six points along with 17 rebounds and three steals. Those 17 rebounds set a new season-high mark for Murray. The team also got some help courtesy of Brandon Adams, who had seven points.
Knightdale smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in five consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, Wakefield earned a 58-50 win over Wake Forest on Friday. The Wolverines haven't had any issues with the Cougars recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.
Knightdale better focus on containing Avery Hicks and Ethan Wisler as the pair were huge in Wakefield's win. Hicks almost dropped a double-double on 15 points and nine boards, while Wisler put up 19 points. The contest was Hicks' third in a row with at least 15 points. Bishop Dudley was another key player, putting up five points and three steals.
Knightdale's win was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 15-6. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.4 points over those games. As for Wakefield, their record now sits at 10-12.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Knightdale has been crashing the boards this season, having averaged 36 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Wakefield struggles in that department as they've been averaging 30.9 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Everything went Knightdale's way against Wakefield in their previous meeting two weeks ago, as Knightdale made off with a 70-44 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Knightdale since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
