The Alisal Trojans entered their tilt with the North Salinas Vikings with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Alisal took down North Salinas 28-14 on Thursday. That's another feather in the cap for Alisal, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
North Salinas' defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performance. Perhaps the best among them was Justin Pascone, who rushed for 130 yards on only 12 carries. Pascone is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last six games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kai Ceralde, who threw for 156 yards and two touchdowns.
Alisal's victory bumped their record up to 7-2. As for North Salinas, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-3.
Alisal will look to defend their home field on November 3rd against Rancho San Juan at 7:30 p.m. Rancho San Juan is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. North Salinas does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
