The Auburn Rockets can finally bid farewell to their six-game losing streak dating back to last season thanks to their game on Friday. They came out on top against Bay Path RVT by a score of 67-59. Auburn's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
When it comes to explaining why Bay Path RVT lost, one person who can't be blamed is Peter Barbale. Despite the final result, he scored 14 points. The game was Barbale's fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Greg Downie, who scored nine points.
Auburn's victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 1-4. As for Bay Path RVT, they have fallen quite a ways from their 14-7 record last season and are now at 1-3.
Auburn will head out on the road to face off against Millbury at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Millbury is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling. As for Bay Path RVT, they will be playing at home against Hudson at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Hudson's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three matchups.
