The Spotsylvania Knights will be playing at home against the Eastern View Cyclones at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Spotsylvania will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Virginia Rankings (they are ranked 210th, while Eastern View is ranked 69th).
Spotsylvania fell victim to Courtland's stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They took a serious blow against the Cougars, falling 35-0.
Meanwhile, Eastern View put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their undefeated season alive. They blew past James Monroe, posting a 58-7 victory at home.
Eastern View's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jaheim Frye led the charge by rushing for 105 yards and three touchdowns on only eight carries. Frye was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 59 yards. Aaron Hull was another key contributor, throwing for 142 yards and three touchdowns on only 12 passes.
Eastern View's victory bumped their season record to 6-0 while Spotsylvania's loss dropped theirs to 2-4.
Spotsylvania was taken down by Eastern View 64-14 when the teams last played back in October of 2022. Will Spotsylvania have more luck at home instead of on the road?
