The Mayfield Trojans's four-game losing streak came to an end on Tuesday. They blew past Deming 60-28 on the road. That 32 points margin sets a new team best for Mayfield this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Mayfield to victory, but perhaps none more so than Brian Coyle Jr, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Ruben Rivera, who scored 15 points.
Mayfield's victory bumped their record up to 5-10. As for Deming, their loss dropped their record down to 2-14.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Las Cruces the next time they take the court. Deming will head out to face Las Cruces at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while Mayfield will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
