There's no place like home for the River Valley Panthers, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Tuesday. They skirted past Marion Center 60-57. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
River Valley found their leader in underclassman Jeremy Reed, who scored 16 points along with five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Reed has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Luke Woodring, who scored ten points along with two blocks.
Several Stingers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Noah Mccoy, who scored 14 points along with eight rebounds and six assists. Another player making a difference was Cameron Pack, who scored 17 points.
River Valley pushed their record up to 15-6 with that win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.4 points per game. As for Marion Center, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-12.
River Valley will be playing at home against the Blue Jays at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Conemaugh Valley presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Panthers in Pennsylvania (the Blue Jays are ranked 134th, while the Panthers are ranked 317th). Marion Center does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
