Delavan is 0-4 against Tremont since April of 2017 but things could change on Tuesday. The Panthers will look to defend their home field against the Turks at 4:30 p.m. Delavan is coming into the match hot, having won their last three games.
Delavan's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Saturday. They walked away with a 3-0 victory over El Paso-Gridley.

Lainey Klokkenga made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out 13 over seven innings pitched. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 11 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with one home run.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Miley Harper, who went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Tremont came out on top against Fieldcrest on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive 12-run third inning. The Turks put the hurt on the Knights with a sharp 15-0 win. The Turks haven't had any issues with the Knights recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.
Like Delavan, Tremont also got a great game from a two-way player: Maddie Feagin. On the mound, she tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Feagin was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in two of her three plate appearances with two runs.
In other batting news, Genesis Stuber was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two triples, four RBI, and two runs. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Ava Berry was another key player, getting on base in two of her three plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Tremont hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least three batters in three consecutive contests.
Tremont pushed their record up to 4-8 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.3 runs over those games. As for Delavan, the win got them back to even at 7-7.
Tremont's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Tuesday. Delavan has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.3 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Tremont, though, as they've been averaging only 2.9 strikeouts. Will Delavan keep running through batters, or will the Turks buck the trend?
Delavan might still be hurting after the 12-0 loss they got from Tremont in their previous matchup back in April of 2023. Can the Panthers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
