Baseball Recap: Thursday's Win Is Lawrence's Fourth in Last Five Outings

Lawrence won against North Andover on Wednesday with six runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Thursday. The Lancers beat the Andover Golden Warriors by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 6-2. This was a revenge game for the Lancers: when they faced off against the Golden Warriors back in April, they had to take a 10-8 defeat.

Lawrence is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Andover, their loss dropped their record down to 11-3.

Coincidentally, Lawrence and Andover will both be playing Central Catholic the next time they take the field. The Golden Warriors will head out to face the Raiders at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, while the Lancers will host them at 4:15 p.m. on Monday.
