Solon scored the most points they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They were dealt a 48-14 loss at the hands of the Nordonia Knights. The defeat continues a trend for the Comets in their meetings with the Knights: they've now lost four in a row.

Nordonia got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Steven Fakult out in front who threw for 278 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 13.2 yards per attempt. Collin Atha was another key receiver, picking up 55 receiving yards and one TD.

Solon's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Nordonia, their win was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-0.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Solon is set to take on their familiar foe Stow-Munroe Falls at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Nordonia will face off against rival North Royalton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
