Wood-Ridge has been on the road for three straight, but on Friday they'll finally head home. They will take on The Cresskill Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Cresskill took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Wood-Ridge, who comes in off a win.
Last Saturday, Wood-Ridge got themselves on the board against Lodi, but Lodi never followed suit. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Rams 44-0 on the road. The result was nothing new for Wood-Ridge, who have now won three matches by 24 points or more so far this season.
Jimmy Masucci continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 150 yards and three touchdowns on only 15 carries, while also throwing for 40 yards and two touchdowns. The team also got some help courtesy of Benjamin Lopez, who rushed for 91 yards and a touchdown.
Meanwhile, Cresskill came up short against North Arlington on Friday and fell 27-20.
Wood-Ridge has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. As for Cresskill, they now have a losing record at 3-4.
Wood-Ridge strolled past Cresskill when the teams last played back in September of 2022 by a score of 23-6. Does Wood-Ridge have another victory up their sleeve, or will Cresskill turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
