On MondayLakeland kept up with Lake Region until halftime, but afterwards: not so much. The Lake Region Thunder were the clear victor by a 5-1 margin over the Lakeland Dreadnaughts. The result was nothing new for the Thunder, who have now won five matchups by three goals or more so far this season.

They hit Lakeland with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Judeson Adeclat (3), Clevens Pierre, and Damian Velasquez.

The win (which was Lake Region's fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-2-1. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 18 goals over those four games. As for Lakeland, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-6-2.

Lake Region wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next contest, a 5-0 victory against Santa Fe Catholic on the 12th. As for Lakeland, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 defeat against Davenport on the 11th.
