Beau Woodson looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in six consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Lucas Cannady and Chase Fuller did most of the damage at the plate: Cannady went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI, while Fuller went 2-for-3 with one home run and three runs. That's the most RBI Cannady has posted since back in April of 2024. Nate Dietz was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two runs.
Lincoln was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Wesley Chapel came out on top against River Ridge on Saturday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run first inning. The Wildcats were the clear victors by an 8-2 margin over the Royal Knights.
Chase Flemming spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on seven hits.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Zorre Wright, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Wesley Chapel is undefeated when Wright posts two or more runs, but 13-14 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Dylan Pabon, who went 3-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base.
Lincoln's win was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 24-10. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.9 runs on average over those games. As for Wesley Chapel, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 18-14 record this season.
