Columbus Catholic gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They breezed past the Nekoosa Papermakers to the tune of 78-37. The win continues a trend for the Dons in their matchups with the Papermakers: they've now won five in a row.

Nekoosa's loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Columbus Catholic and Assumption will face off at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest, having both just played. As for Nekoosa, they will face off against Wisconsin Dells at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The game will give the Papermakers their first taste of in-conference action this season.
